The Plus 50 Knapheide Service Body is available with the Transverse Compartment and comes standard with either 2 or 3 long drawers. It has 50% more effective storage capacity than standard units.

The photo shows one of the drawers fully extended. This gives a lot of space to take care of business. The HD drawers are rated at 250 lbs and have ball bearing guides to roll out and back smoothly. They are easily opened with the two rod release system which allows you to open the drawer with one hand. The drawers are also easily removable. If desired, there is enough room in the compartment to add two more 3" drawers or 1-5" drawer to the bottom of the stack to haul even more.

 The 11' unit comes standard with 3-3" high drawers with plenty of dividers to be able to carry a lot of little parts, nuts, bolts, or other small items, or remove the dividers and carry longer items. As well, it still gives almost 9' in the cargo area of the bed since the transverse compartment in the front compartment takes up about 2' (actually 28.43"). The transverse compartment stops at the backside of the opposite front compartment, so that on the streetside, there is a standard compartment and the transverse deep compartment is on the curbside.

The 'Plus 50' is a must stock option for dealers that will show off the possibilities that Knapheide has to offer in the way of effective optional solutions. Who cannot use more drawers? The compartments can be fitted with drawers of various sizes and designs, just in case you want them.

The Landscape Dump With Removable Side Sections

Here is a close up shot from the rear of a 12' California Work Trucks Landscape Dump on a Ford F350. Notice the steel framed rear gate assembly to allow the full dumping of any material in the bed area.

This unit is built on a Knapheide platform. This shot also shows the cross bars between the vertical posts to allow easier removal of side sections as desired, and it shows the metal cap running along the top of the wood sections to help extend the life of the wood by keeping that edge away from rain and sun exposure.

Knapheide Chipper Body With Lots of Storage Capacity

Here is a Knapheide Chipper Body or Forestry Body mounted on Ram 5500 extra cab, with secure tool and cross-box equipment storage compartments.

The Chipper Body is a common dump body that tree trimmers use. Their grinders grind up the limbs and shoot the wood chips into an enclosed steel body and are dumped later. Wood is very heavy so Chipper Bodies must be mounted on heavy duty chassis. Typically, the minimum GVWR would be about 19,000 lbs. and greater. Most Chipper Bodies that we see are on medium duty trucks.
